Learner driving permit (incl. online learner licence)

Punjab DLIMS provides an online driving-licence application route. Its current instructions direct applicants to create an account, complete the application, upload requested documents, generate a PSID and pay through supported banking channels. PITB also listed learner driving licence as a Dastak service on 23 May 2025; confirm current Dastak availability and coverage in the Citizen App.

Who can apply

  • Minimum age 18 (21 for LTV/commercial categories)
  • Valid CNIC
  • Aged 16–17? A full or learner licence is not available; see the Juvenile Driving Permit (motorcycles only)

How to apply

  1. Create an account on the official DLIMS portal
  2. Complete the application and upload the documents requested by DLIMS
  3. Generate the PSID and pay using a supported ATM, online-banking or mobile-banking channel
  4. For a doorstep option, check whether learner driving licence is currently listed in the Dastak Citizen App for your area
