Muhammad Mahmood Alam (M. M. Alam)

M. M. Alam was a Pakistan Air Force fighter pilot who became a national hero for his role in the 1965 war with India. He is credited with shooting down five Indian aircraft in one sortie on 7 September 1965, a claim that is still discussed by historians. He died on 18 March 2013.
