Abdus Salam
Abdus Salam was born on 1926-01-29 in Jhang Maghiana, in what was then India and is now Pakistan. He shared one-third of the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics for contributions to the theory unifying the weak and electromagnetic interactions. He died on 1996-11-21.
